Dr Emma Sceats serves as Chief Executive Officer of Ascensus Specialties. Dr Sceats is an accomplished specialty chemicals and life sciences executive with more than 20 years of experience driving growth, transformation, and value creation across public and private companies. Prior to Ascensus, she served as SVP of Marketing, Sales & Customer Service at Abcam plc, where she was a member of the executive team that led the company’s $5.7bn acquisition by Danaher Corporation. Earlier in her career, she served as CEO of two privately held life science tools and contract research organizations, leading strategic turnarounds, commercial growth, and fundraising initiatives.
Dr Sceats holds a DPhil in Chemistry from the University of Oxford and an MS in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
