Santosh Rao, Operating partner, joined New Mountain Capital in 2024. Mr. Rao has over three decades of global, general management experience in operations and services in a wide range of industries. Prior to joining New Mountain Capital, Mr. Rao served as the President of Energy Infrastructure for Aegion, a New Mountain portfolio company and was responsible for the divestitures of several divisions. Prior to that he was CEO of Autosplice, a global electronics manufacturer for the automobile industry. Prior to Autosplice, Mr. Rao was the Chief Operating Officer for Oakleaf Waste Management, a New Mountain portfolio company. Mr. Rao also served in a variety of global operational and financial roles at IBM, Solectron, Sanmina and MSL.
Mr. Rao received an MS in Industrial Engineering from Syracuse University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering, Pune, India.
