Charles Kummeth joined New Mountain as a Senior Advisor in 2024. Chuck retired as CEO of Bio-Techne (TECH) in June 0f 2024 after 11 years growing the company from 800 employees to 3200 and $300MM in revenue to approximately $1.2B. Previously, Mr. Kummeth was at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. as President of Mass Spectrometry and Chromatography and President of the Laboratory Consumables Division. Prior to Thermo Fisher Scientific, he served in various roles during his 24-year career at 3M Corporation, most recently as the Vice President of the company’s Medical Division.
Mr. Kummeth serves on the boards of Gentherm, a developer of thermal management technologies; PerkinElmer, a maker of instrumentation, consumables and Software servicing the analytical needs of the food and environmental markets; Actylis, a virtual manufacturer of niche specialty materials sold into the life sciences and advanced technology end markets; and Orthofix. a global medical technology company delivering exceptional experiences and life-changing solutions to patients around the world
Mr. Kummeth received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Dakota, an MS in Computer Science from the University of St. Thomas and an MBA from the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota.
