Tony Coffey, Executive in Residence (Operating Partner Group), joined New Mountain Capital in 2025. Prior to New Mountain, Tony was the Chief Operating Officer at AHEAD, Inc., and played a pivotal role in scaling the business to $3.7B. He led the company’s value creation plan that included the acquisition and integration of five companies.
Prior to AHEAD, Tony was the Chief Strategy Officer at VCE, a $2.5B converged infrastructure technology provider, that was acquired by EMC/Dell, an Operating Partner for SoftBank Investment Advisers where he focused on AI enterprise software investments including Automation Anywhere, OSIsoft, Qualtrics and Cohesity, and spent his earlier career as an Operating Partner at Cerberus Capital focused primarily on IT services.
Tony holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business and a BS in Civil Engineering from Purdue University
