Robert Tullman

Chief Executive Officer, Aegion

Rob Tullman serves as the CEO of Aegion. He joined New Mountain as a Senior Advisor in 2020. Mr. Tullman is an infrastructure executive with 25 years of global experience in water, power, oil & gas, renewable energy and telecom sectors. He currently serves as President & CEO of Aegion Corp, a New Mountain portfolio company. He also serves on the boards of Pearce Services and Inframark Corporation.

From 2014-2019, Mr. Tullman was President & CEO of USIC, the nation’s largest underground utility locating company, with 9,000 field service employees. During his leadership, USIC doubled in revenue and enterprise value while delivering safe and high-quality services to his customers across the US.

Prior to USIC, he was President & CEO of Granite Services (now GE Field Core), servicing heavy rotating equipment for the power generation and oil & gas sectors from 1997-2014. Work was performed at 2,000 jobsites in 90 countries on turbines, generators, compressors and related systems in gas, fossil, nuclear, wind, LNG and petrochemical applications. 

Prior to his GE affiliation, Mr. Tullman formed his own company, Power & Water Consulting, and later joined forces with three colleagues to form Penpower, a power plant startup services company that was acquired by GE in 1997 to form the predecessor of GE Field Core.   Earlier in his career, Mr. Tullman spent 5 years in water treatment with Nalco Chemical Company.

Mr. Tullman has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware, and an MBA from Duke University.
