John Koehler, Executive In Residence (Operating Partner Group), joined New Mountain Capital in 2025. Prior to New Mountain, he was a Managing Director in the Operating Advisory Group at Comvest Partners, where he led growth and efficiency initiatives across consumer, healthcare, and industrial service companies.
Previously, John was Vice President of Business Development and Corporate Strategy at National Diversified Sales (NDS), overseeing M&A and corporate strategy, and managing the company’s stormwater business. He also held senior roles at Danaher Corporation, including Global Director of Marketing and Director of Business Development, where he led multiple acquisitions and global integration efforts. John began his career at The Boston Consulting Group, advising clients on strategy and operations across the industrial, energy, and technology sectors. He also held marketing roles at General Mills and served in the United States Army.
He holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, where he was an Edward Tuck Scholar, and a BS in Computer Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
