George Gallate, Senior Advisor, started working with New Mountain Capital in 2019 as a board member of Real Chemistry, formerly the W2O Group. He serves on the boards of Tinuiti, Bounteous and Vytalogy Wellness and Mountaingate portfolio companies: MeritB2B, The Mars Agency and RevUnit. He also serves on the board and as Chairman of NEAR, Networks for Emergencies and Relief, a 510c3 nonprofit organization.
Mr. Gallate has more than 35 years of experience building and leading high-performing global advertising and digital networks and agencies. Through his career, he has focused on growth and value creation. He is keenly interested in the intersection of media, data, technology and creativity.
For the past four years he has worked with private equity, developing investment theses, identifying, acquiring and growing companies. Mr. Gallate developed the investment thesis that became Tinuiti.
In 2014, he negotiated the sale of RKG, the performance marketing agency he was CEO of, to Merkle. He became Merkle’s CMO and Global EVP, and served on the Executive Committee for three years.
Prior to RKG, Mr. Gallate spent 27 years at Havas/Euro RSCG, ultimately serving as the Global Chairman of Havas Digital from 2006 to 2012. He formed this network in 1997. As the result of organic growth and acquisitions, Adweek ranked Euro RSCG 4D (renamed Havas Digital) as the largest global digital network for five years in a row.
From 2005 through 2008, Mr. Gallate also served as Havas’ Regional CEO for Asia Pacific, India and the Middle East, with P&L responsibility for 28 offices and was based in Shanghai, China.
Mr. Gallate’s experience spans B2B and B2C. He has extensive cross-media experience, including seven years’ leadership of the global advertising, digital and marketing services of Intel, at the time Havas’ largest client.
