September 2026 | New Mountain Capital is pleased to announce the addition of two Managing Directors, further strengthening the firm’s senior investment team and adding deep experience across areas of strategic focus for New Mountain.
Alex Yu joins New Mountain’s private equity investment team as a Transaction Leader, bringing significant experience investing across the healthcare and life sciences sectors, including pharmaceuticals, consumer healthcare, healthcare services and healthcare technology. At New Mountain, Alex will work alongside the firm’s existing sector teams to further deepen its longstanding capabilities and identify and build market-leading businesses in areas of defensive growth. He will also be joining existing portfolio company efforts to bring new and differentiated perspectives to build those businesses.

Andrew Koval joins New Mountain’s GP Solutions team, which originates and helps execute capital solutions for private equity sponsors. Andrew brings extensive experience across private credit, special situations, structured capital and transaction execution, complemented by an investment banking background. At New Mountain, he will work closely with the firm’s existing GP Solutions and Capital Markets efforts to help expand our sponsor reach and help find opportunities across all five New Mountain products.
