Shehreyar Hameed, Managing Director, joined New Mountain in 2025. Mr. Hameed is primarily focused on Business Development across New Mountain’s strategies. Before joining New Mountain, Mr. Hameed was a Managing Director at Blackstone with responsibility for covering Middle East institutional clients and family offices across the firm’s product lines. Prior to Blackstone, Mr. Hameed was Managing Director in J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s Sovereign Group and an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs International’s Fixed Income Currency & Commodities Division. Mr. Hameed started his career at ABN AMRO Bank in Asia where he worked in structured finance, syndications and asset securitization teams, before becoming an entrepreneur and co-founding Knowledge Platform, an eLearning content development and delivery start-up.
Mr. Hameed received a BA in Economics from Bard College and an MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
