Chief Executive Officer

Lou Purvis was named Chief Executive Officer of Zep, Inc. effective March 2017.

Prior to joining Zep, Purvis spent 15 years with Celanese and held a variety of global assignments across all four reporting segments, including Vice President and General Manager of the Consumer Specialties segment, PVOH General Manager, GUR Business Director and Global Business Manager for Acetyl Intermediates.  He has also served in various functional roles including procurement, manufacturing, business development and as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Celanese Acetate Tow joint ventures in China.  Most recently he was Vice President, Global Supply Management with responsibility for 23 manufacturing sites, procurement and supply chain.

Mr. Purvis holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Texas A&M University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.
