US Ocean is a leading “asset light” logistics business operating six U.S.-flagged multipurpose and heavy lift vessels. US Ocean primarily focuses on cargoes that are too heavy, large, or expensive to travel in traditional drybulk or container ships. Vessels in the US Ocean fleet have unique characteristics that are well-suited for worldwide cargo transport including heavy lift capabilities up to 900 metric tons, ice class, sprinkler outfitting, lift-on/lift-off, roll-on/roll-off, and float-on/float-off. US Ocean is routinely sought out by customers with a wide range of transport and maintains long-term relationships with a broad range of blue-chip private clients and established government agencies, including branches of the U.S. military. Five of US Ocean’s six vessels are enrolled in the 60-vessel Maritime Security Program (“MSP”), an exclusive program which provides military access to privately-owned vessels that are ready to meet national defense priorities.
