Richard Compton, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, has over 47 years of experience in the silicone industry, including formulation development, business development and operations. Mr. Compton co-founded NuSil in 1979 and has guided the company through its impressive growth over the past three decades. He began his career at Dow Corning in 1963, where he spent nearly ten years in various chemical engineering capacities. Prior to co-founding NuSil, Mr. Compton also co-founded McGhan Medical (predecessor to Inamed) in 1974, where he served as the Vice President of R&D and Engineering. Mr. Compton was also a key executive at Heyer-Schulte (now Mentor a division of J&J). Mr. Compton holds a B.S. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Michigan.
