Connextions, Inc. Boosts North Carolina Economy with Business Expansion

Upcoming job fair will help fill the more than 1,200 new jobs

ORLANDO, Fla. and Charlotte, N.C. – April 21, 2011 – Connextions, Inc., the leader in technology-enabled health insurance distribution solutions, announced today the expansion of its business with the addition of a fifth location in Charlotte, North Carolina. The new location will meet the rapidly growing demand for its health insurance carrier and exchange business, and generate more than 800 jobs (agent and management) at the new Charlotte facility and an additional 400 jobs at its existing Concord, North Carolina location.

Recruiting for some of the new positions is starting this week. In July, Connextions President Steven Auerbach and his executive team will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony once the redesign of the 61,000 square foot facility is complete. The Company will hold a job fair that same day, and human resources representatives will be available onsite to collect resumes and answer questions about the available positions and Connextions’ free College of Insurance training. More information about the fair and job openings will be posted at www.jobs.connextions.com.

“Connextions is excited to be expanding our business in North Carolina, where we have already had great success driven by an exceptional workforce,” said Auerbach. “As we continue our growth as the preeminent health insurance exchange provider for the public and private sectors, we are proud to support our ‘firmly onshore’ stance by having 100 percent of our employees located in the United States.”

Connextions’ bConnected® technology, designed around the unique complexities of the health insurance industry, is powering sales, retention and service solutions for the top health insurance carriers in the nation, as well as exchange distribution solutions for Fortune 500 early-market entrants. The people behind these technology-driven solutions proactively drive new premiums, service excellence and increased retention.

A Partnership Built on Excellence

“We are excited that Connextions has chosen Charlotte. This four-year Inc 5000 winning firm has continued to invest locally, bringing jobs and economic growth to North Carolina for more than three years,” said Kati Hynes, vice president of Economic Development of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce. “Connextions’ continued commitment to our state and their decision to bring additional jobs to our community during these challenging economic times demonstrates the excellent relationship fostered between our state and Connextions.”

“These 1,200 jobs will predominantly serve the needs of Americans wanting education and support regarding their healthcare and health insurance needs,” said Todd Baxter, Executive Vice President of Connextions’ Consumer Division. “We will be looking for talented individuals who enjoy having a purpose in helping others understand their best healthcare options, how to appropriately leverage their health plans, and how to get well and stay well.”

Connextions currently employs more than 4,000 people in North America and is headquartered in Orlando, Florida.
